- The first and foremost thing is a Raincoat or an Umbrella. Any of them will work.
- But I would suggest keeping an Umbrella instead. The reason is that an Umbrella works well as an accessory while clicking pictures. You don’t have to wear it over your beautiful clothes. When the rain stops you can easily close it and keep it with you all the time.
- Boots: You will need good boots and if possible carry waterproof boots with you. In case you don’t have either of them Sports shoes can be a substitute.
- Avoid wearing sneakers as it is not a good idea. Most of the natural sites in Darjeeling are slippery and sneakers are a bad option in that case.
- Keep knee straps with you: Most of the places in Darjeeling require walking to some extent. You may especially need to walk uphill and downhill as you will rarely see plain roads in Darjeeling other than the main road. So Knee straps help you to walk comfortably.
